Hi, I'm Maya Middlemiss – founder of Remote Work Europe and co-founder of Solopreneur Superpowers.

More than 25 years in remote work has shaped me into a storyteller, strategist, and hands-on leader. I've worked across every facet of remote-first work – launching startups, inspiring audiences, guiding teams, freelancing globally, and consulting with leaders and policymakers.

My experience spans the remote-first spectrum: I've been an entrepreneur building distributed teams, a freelancer navigating global clients, an employee adapting to new ways of working, and a trusted advisor helping others design their own remote-first future.

Most recently I've teamed up with Jim Christian to launch Solopreneur Superpowers – an AI-augmented build partnership helping small services businesses systematise operations and scale without adding headcount. Same documentation-first principles I've practised at Remote Work Europe, applied at the level of individual client engagements.
